News

23.06.09: June event, Finance and Money seen through the eyes of a woman Ellen Peitz-Stein was willing to stand in front of a tough group of ladies last Tuesday and share her knowledge of 15 years in Insurance and Financial Advising. We learned about the Swiss Insurance and Social Security systems. Next we examined questions more particular to women, such as ‘Who is the beneficiary of our partner’s policies?’ Ellen presented amusing anecdotes, yet all well backed by research and hard data. We enjoyed her fun presentation style and the seriousness with which she approaches financial matters.

24.05.09: Business Etiquette
The May meeting in a new larger venue, saw another record participation of both members and non-members. Judging from our level of engagement with Corinne Staub, Etiquette Expert, modern manners and business etiquette turned out to be a timely discussion topic. Laughter was heard all through the evening as Corinne navigated both the topics and our questions with humour. Following the presentation, we had a very polite dinner, with our elbows properly hanging off the tables. It was a fun evening, and as often happens after a good presentation, we were left with something to think about.

09.12.08: 25th Silver Anniversary Party

What do the year 1983, Charles Dickens, 75 women, the Charleston kick and a tree full of wishes have in common?

Well only PWG could weave these elements together to host a remarkable evening to celebrate each other and the accomplishments over the past 25 years.

And while part of the evening was spent reflecting on past and present achievements, PWG President Jill Allemang challenged members to look ahead to the limitless future and wish for what’s possible for all PWG members.
